June 14, 1931 -June 6, 2024

Vincent J. Frank, 92, Hollidaysburg, passed away Thursday morning at Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Vincent J. Sr. and M. Catherine (Hill) Frank. On January 21, 1956, he married Mildred C. Rusich at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Williamsburg.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Joseph (Peggy) of Hollidaysburg; two grandchildren, Jeffery Kelly (Bridget) and Justin Kelly (Jordyn); four great-grandchildren: Layla, Penelope, Josie, and Jonah; a brother-in-law, William Bumgardner; and several nieces and nephews.
Vincent was the last of his family, having been preceded in death by his five brothers: Thomas, Melvin, William, Paul, and Joseph.
Vincent was a 1950 graduate of Altoona High School. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, where he attained the rank of Staff Sergeant.
Vincent retired from Conrail as a Materials Foreman in 1990.
He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg, William Penn Associates, Holy Name Society, Legion of Mary, and was awarded The Gallitzin Cross.
Vincent was a weightlifter for 70 years, loved gardening, shrubbery, and enjoyed volunteering at St. Mary Catholic Church.
Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, June 10, 2024 at St. Mary Catholic Church Hollidaysburg, where a funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. with Father Alan Thomas officiating.
Committal will be at New St. Joseph Cemetery, Williamsburg, with Military Honors.
Arrangements are by Plank, Stitt & Stevens Funeral Home, 421 Montgomery St., Hollidaysburg.

    All sympathy and condolences to Vincent s family.he now rejoices with the Lord Jesus and the blessed Virgin Mary .we thank him for his military service.we pray he and his comrads in arms continue their watchful service of our nation.may our Lord Jesus give a special blessing and comfort to his beloved wife, Millicent.,and may his memory be eternal.     My sincere condolences. Vincent was a fantastic uncle and a fine Christian man. I have fond memories growing up with all the cousins. He will be missed.
