Victor E. Pounds
March 26, 1942 – June 4, 2023

Victor E. Pounds, Duncansville, passed away Sunday evening at his residence after a fire at his home. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Ralph D. and Catherine L. (Bell) Pounds.
He is survived by two brothers, William (Barb) of Duncansville and Danny (Bev) of Duncansville; five sisters: Nancy DesGarennes of Orwigsburg, Kathie Baker (Bill) of Hollidaysburg, Judy Curry (Richard) of Duncansville, Cindy Piotti (Brian) of Altoona and Darlene Pounds of Altoona; many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews; a great-great-niece; and his cat, Meow.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Ralph Pounds Jr.
Victor was a 1960 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. He was a reservist in the U.S. Army and worked as a presser at Puritan for many years.
Victor was blind in one eye and hard of hearing, but not deaf. He loved the Lord and sharing the Gospel.
Victor loved gardening and growing his own fruits and vegetables, making yard signs, and playing basketball. He was a Penn State, Steelers, and Pirates fan and also enjoyed local high school sports.
Family and friends will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 11, 2023, at Plank, Stitt & Stevens Funeral Home, 421 Montgomery St., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. with Pastor Mark Lingenfelter officiating.
Interment will be at New Canoe Creek Cemetery with military honors.
