Thomas Edward Clerkin, 69, Hollidaysburg, passed away Tuesday evening at his residence.

He was born in St. Marys, son of the late Charles Edward and Violet Mae (Steudler) Clerkin.

Surviving are a son, Matt of Altoona; two daughters: Heather Molliver of Hollidaysburg and Sommer Zimmerer (Scott) of Altoona; five grandchildren: Dylan (Ashley), Caleb, Daniel, Trinity and Maddy; a great-grandson, Waylon; two brothers: Shawn of Erie, and Leo “Buddy” of Weedville; and two sisters: Mary Jo Moneta of Harborcreek and Kim Clerkin of Edinboro.

He was preceded in death by his former wife, Leslie, who died Feb. 26, 2008; and a sister, Paula Kay.

Thomas was a 1968 graduate of Hollidaysburg Area High School. He was a longtime employee of Altoona Pipe & Steel.

He was a member of the Allegheny Club and the Hollidaysburg American Legion.

Thomas had enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and bowling.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by Plank, Stitt & Stevens Funeral Home, 421 Montgomery St., Hollidaysburg.
