Theresa May Bilotto
May 14, 1932 – Feb. 15, 2025
Theresa May Bilotto, 92, Hollidaysburg, passed away peacefully Saturday morning while a resident of the Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg. She was born in Beaver Falls, daughter of the late Giuseppe and Giovannina (Negro) Fillipelli. Theresa was the last remaining sibling of her family, brothers: infant Dominic, Frank, Ernie, Ralph and Louis; along with sisters: Angeline, Rose and Margaret.
She left Beaver Falls High School to work for Westinghouse in Beaver, Pa.
On April 30, 1960, she married Nicholas Joseph Bilotto from Freedom, who preceded her in death on Feb. 24, 2001.
She is survived by her son, Lawrence J. Bilotto and his wife, Joan, of Altoona; three stepchildren: Nicholas J. Bilotto Jr and his wife, Linda, of Fort Worth, Texas, Richard F. Bilotto and his wife, Beverly, of Ravenna, Ohio, and Regina R. Werts and husband, William, of Hollidaysburg; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
After marriage, she worked at Anderson Electronics, and later, while her son attended high school, she was a lunch lady. Also, during this time, she was a Cub Scout den mother, Judge of Elections at her precinct, St. Michael’s Church adult choir member, a charter member of the Hollidaysburg Alumni Chorus, a volunteer for Tour De ‘Toona, and a babysitter for numerous families in the Blair County area where those children lovingly referred to her as “TT.”
Theresa loved weekly bowling all of her life and attended several state and local competitions. She also loved playing cards and hosted many monthly card parties with her friends. During her later years, she participated and medaled in numerous events at the PA Senior Games held in Altoona.
Friends will be received from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21, 2025, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg, where a funeral Mass will immediately follow at 11 a.m.
Interment will be in Alto-Reste Park.
Arrangements are by Plank, Stitt & Stevens Funeral Home, 421 Montgomery St., Hollidaysburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Theresa, can be made to the Barbara Zanker School Fund of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 301 Spruce St., Hollidaysburg, PA 16648.
