Terry L. Wertz

Terry L. Wertz, 75, Hollidaysburg, passed away Friday morning at UPMC Montefiore, Pittsburgh.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Ernest and Audrey (Reffner) Wertz.
On February 13, 1970, he married Darlene F. Geesey, who preceded him in death August 8, 2012.
He is survived by three daughters: Dana Heck, Kris Helsel (Brian), and Terri Jo Horne, all of Hollidaysburg; a son, Brady (Janelle) of Hollidaysburg; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Terry was a 1968 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School and a 1972 graduate of Penn State.
He retired from F.L. Smithe as an electrical engineer after 31 years of service.
Terry served as an officer of the Sons of the American Legion, Post 516, and a lifelong member of the Allegheny Club, the Heidelberg Country Club, and the Moose.
Terry enjoyed hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting, spending the 4th of July at Ocean City and Myrtle Beach, cooking, and entertaining family and friends.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until noon and 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Plank, Stitt & Stevens Funeral Home, 421 Montgomery St., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 6 p.m. with Rev. Eleanor Siegrist officiating.
Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
The family requests that donations in memory of Terry be made to the Sons of the American Legion, 319 Front Street, 1st Floor, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648.
