Obituary For Samuel F. Antenucci

Samuel F. Antenucci Dec. 11, 1922 - July 7, 2022

Samuel F. Antenucci, formerly of Hollidaysburg, died peacefully at the age of 99 in Roseville, Minnesota on July 7, 2022. He was born to Antonio and Jeanette Antenucci in Friedens, Somerset County, PA and is survived by wife Evalyn and son Steven, son Mark with wife Cristina and their daughters Samantha and Isabella; daughter Nancy with husband Christopher Knudtson and their son Alexander; and son David with wife Maria Marchand and their daughter Zoe. After serving overseas in World War II, he earned his bachelor’s degree in business from Sacramento (Calif.) State College and worked for years at SKF Industries in Philadelphia and Altoona. He was most active in St. Mary’s Catholic parish in Hollidaysburg, working as a regular volunteer for church functions and events, singing in its choir, and helping as assistant Scoutmaster with its Boy Scout Troop 35. He also sang as a member of the Hollidaysburg Alumni Community Chorus. And, taking up golf after retirement, Sam made headlines for sinking two holes-in-one. A local service for Samuel and Evalyn will be held Thursday, September 15, 2022, with a funeral Mass at 11:00am at St. Mary’s Church (312 Clark St.), followed with a reception at the Mimosa Courtyard Inn (418 N Montgomery St). In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Disabled American Veterans Charity or the charity of your choice. Arrangements through Plank, Stitt & Stevens Funeral Home of Hollidaysburg, where condolences may be made at https://stevensfamilyfuneralhomes.com
