Robert J. Brooks
December 19, 1953 – July 20, 2026

Robert J. Brooks, 72, Altoona, passed away unexpectedly Monday at his residence.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Robert J. and Betty Jane (Barr) Brooks.
He married Brenda Lee Long, who preceded him in death on November 6, 2022.
Robert is survived by his daughter, BettyJo Bennett (Dan) of New York; and two sisters, Alice Weatherwalk and Ruth Vaughn of Altoona.
He was preceded in death by three siblings: Dolores Smith, Frances Fornwalt, and Bill Brooks.
Robert was a graduate of Altoona Area High School.
He enjoyed working on cars and was a race car enthusiast.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no services.
