Our deep felt sympathy to Rick's family. Known as "Doc" to many of us at TVHS, he was a quiet and honorable man. His dedication as an educator was evident through his classroom and his building involvement. He touched the minds of students and demonstrated his support through attendance at many activities. As a former math teacher, I appreciated his depth of knowledge. As a building administrator, I appreciated his ongoing commitment to the entire student program. My wife and I enjoyed our many conversations with Doc, he will be missed. Karen and Don Green

Rick was our neighbor in Zanesville, Ohio for many years. He also was the math teacher for both of our sons. They loved his math classes and both of them were very good at math, thanks to his fine teaching. He was a quiet person, but made quite an impact on may people's lives. Ron and Betsy Thomas
