Raymond J. Whiteman Feb. 16, 1940 - Sept. 11, 2022

Raymond J. Whiteman, 82, Hollidaysburg, passed away peacefully Sunday evening at his residence. He was born in Lakemont, son of the late Robert and Rosella (Yon) Whiteman. On Dec. 22, 1965, he married Nancy L. Fuchs at Grace Bible Church. She preceded him in death on Dec. 16, 2007. He is survived by two daughters: Kayla Little (Dan) of Duncansville and Kerry Roesch (Brian) of Wilmington, Del; five grandchildren: Colin, Conor (Kim), and Reid Brinkhoff and Torey (Katie) and Mara Roesch; a great-granddaughter, Charlotte; and two sisters: Reida Carper of Duncansville and Rosalie James of Altoona. He was preceded in death by his older brother Ronald Whiteman and his younger brother Robert Whiteman. Raymond was a 1958 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. He retired as a General Plant Manager from Small Tube Products, after 36 years of service. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. Raymond was a member of Grace Bible Church and enjoyed reading the Bible, hunting, fishing, playing cards, bowling, and especially spending time with his family and friends. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, September 16, 2022 at Plank, Stitt & Stevens Funeral Home, 421 Montgomery St., Hollidaysburg. A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2022 by Pastor Daren Ritchey. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery.
