Mary Lou Sheehan
Dec. 8, 1938 – June 26, 2023

Mary Lou Sheehan, 84, Hollidaysburg, passed away Monday morning at Presbyterian Village after battling cancer for more than 40 years. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Edmund and Ella Mae (Kirkpatrick) Sheehan, and was a life-long resident of Hollidaysburg.
Surviving are sisters: Patricia Rokosky of Duncansville, Margaret Arnold of Altoona, Rose Mary Anthony (Bob) of Duncansville, Ellen Fisher of Hollidaysburg and Leona George (Theodore) of Lilly; sister-in-law, Barbara Sheehan of Hollidaysburg; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Robert “Bob” Sheehan and Gerald “Jerry” Sheehan.
Mary Lou was a graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. She was a medical secretary for Dr. Hugh Hayford MD and then joined the sales department at New Look Uniform.
Mary Lou was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg and a very faithful member of the Legion of Mary.
She enjoyed reading, taking photographs and making albums for her family.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until the noon funeral Mass Friday, June 30, 2023, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg, with Father Alan Thomas officiating.
Interment will be at New St. Mary Cemetery, Hollidaysburg.
Arrangements are by Plank, Stitt & Stevens Funeral Home, 421 Montgomery St., Hollidaysburg.
