Obituary For Marian D. Weber

Marian D. Weber
May 30, 1928 – Jan. 31, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved mother, Marian D. Weber, who left us on Friday evening at the age of 96. She was a woman of great wisdom and love, cherishing every moment spent with loved ones.
She was born in Patton, daughter of the late Basil and Mary (Kane) Weakland.
Marian was a 1945 graduate of Patton High School. She worked as a records keeper at the Koppers building in Pittsburgh, assisted the local Patton doctor in his office, and was an administrative assistant for the nursing department at Miners Hospital in Spangler.
Among Marian’s most significant accomplishments was that of a devoted wife and the raising of her three children in Carrolltown. She loved to cook and read romance and cozy mystery series.
Marian will be lovingly remembered by her children: Patricia Smutko and her daughter, Angelina; Kenneth Weber (Paige) and their children: Melissa Finkle (Adam), Roxanne Jewett, and Brendan Weber; and Paula Scaramozzino (fiancé, Barry Saylor) and her children, Brittany Devine and Nicholas Scaramozzino; sister, Leora Forney (Gene) in California; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Patrick Weber; son-in-law, Kevin Smutko; two brothers, William Weakland and Archbishop Rembert Weakland; and two sisters, Betty Weakland and Barbara Weakland.
Friends will be received from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Plank, Stitt & Stevens Funeral Home, 421 Montgomery St., Hollidaysburg.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11a.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Duncansville, with Father Jeremy Mohler and Father Leonard Van Vlaenderen officiating.
Interment will be in Saint Benedict Catholic Cemetery, Carrolltown.
The family requests that donations in memory of Marian, be made to St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 308 Old Route 22, Duncansville, PA 16635.
