Mrs Piper was a wonderful mentor, friend, 2nd mom. I will miss her dearly. During our visits over the years, she always talked about her love for her family, sons Robert and Marty, and her grandchildren, Jason, Sarah, and a few others. She loved you all and was so proud of you. Her fondest memory with me was the time she was in Altoona hospital with heart condition back in 1982. After a few days of getting no answers on her condition, a friend and I went to the hospital as volunteer candy strippers to see her. We cheered her up, put our minds at ease, and gave her a chuckle for many years to come. My condolences to the entire family. Prayers for comfort. She was one of a kind, the best, and will be terribly missed.
