James J. “Jim” Steberger
November 7, 1962 – September 11, 2026

James J “Jim” Steberger of Hollidaysburg, Pa, formerly of Cleveland, OH went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 11,2026, after a lengthy illness. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, James R Steberger and Ruth Weyant Steberger Brown of Altoona, PA.
Jim worked as a Warehouse Manager for RCS Corporation, Cleveland, OH before he began his final career as a medical transportation driver for various companies in Cleveland, OH. Jim’s outgoing personality, sense of humor and kind heart perfectly suited his position as a transportation driver.
Jim enjoyed fishing, listening to music and cooking. He often discussed recipes and liked to watch cooking shows. In Cleveland, Jim cooked many Thanksgiving turkeys for a local church to share with people in need.
Jim attended Word of His Grace Church, Cuyahoga Falls, OH where he committed his heart to Jesus and was baptized.
Left to fondly remember Jim are his sisters, Beverly Sullivan (Jerry) of Williamsburg PA and Cristina Saplak of Strongsville, OH; his brother, Gary Steberger (Shirley) of Macedonia, OH; a niece, Crystal Crosby; nephews, Gary Davison (Nicole) and Aaron Saplak; step-niece and nephews: Jessica, Josh and Luke Hubbard, and extended families, Step-mother, Pauline Steberger and Step-father, Frank Brown.
A celebration of Jim’s life will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 1 pm at Plank, Stitt & Stevens Funeral Home, 421 Montgomery Street, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648. The family will greet visitors from 11 am to 1 pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the National Kidney Foundation (kidney.org) in memory of James “Jim” Steberger and Ruth Brown or given to the family to help defray funeral expenses (Gary Steberger for Jim Fund, 870 Ledge Rd, Macedonia, OH 44056)
