George M. Caldwell
Aug. 8, 1962 - Dec. 18, 2023

George M. Caldwell, 61, Duncansville, passed away unexpectedly Monday morning at UPMC Altoona.
He was born in North Carolina, son of Carol (Neely) Caldwell and the late Gary G. Caldwell.
On June 16, 1992, he married Brenda Lee Lafferty in Hollidaysburg.
He is survived by his wife; his mother; two sisters: Debra and Patricia of Duncansville; mother-in-law, Frances Lightner (William “Buck”); father-in-law, Michael Anderson Sr. (Cathy); sisters-in-law: Kristen (Jeff) and Sheri (Kevin); brother-in-law, Mike Jr.; and nephews: Kaden and Jace.
George was a 1981 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School and attended Penn State, Altoona. He was the manager at Kwik Fill in Duncansville for over 30 years.
George loved people and had a great sense of humor. He never wanted to sit around at home. He was an avid pool player and loved the Pittsburgh Penguins and Steelers, and his beloved German Shepherd, Shane.
Friends will be received from 3-6 p.m. on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Plank, Stitt & Stevens Funeral Home, 421 Montgomery St., Hollidaysburg.
Interment will be at Carson Valley Cemetery.

    Brenda, Patty and family, We are in shock to hear of George's passing. It will be hard to walk back into Kwik Fill without hearing his voice asking me what I was doing !😭 Eric and I are grateful that our employment made us cross paths with George, he was a great guy!     I remember George coming in to this world and now sadly I will remember him leaving it. My love and good wishes to his wife and mother and sisters.
