Obituary For Elsebeth (Elsie) Eaton

Elsebeth (Elsie) Eaton
May 13, 1961 – September 7, 2024

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Elsebeth “Elsie” Eaton on September 7th, 2024, after a brief battle with cancer. Born on May 13, 1961, in Baltimore, MD, she was the beloved daughter of the late Robert Grove and Doris Stocker Grove. She was predeceased by her late husband, Robert Eaton (2005).
She is survived by her beloved children, Colin Brown (Tiffany) and Kirsten Eaton, who will forever hold her memory in their hearts. Elsie’s children were the light of her life. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Parker and Madison Brown, who brought immense joy to her life.
Elsie was a dear sister to Erich Grove (Tonja C.), Kirsten Grove (Franz S.), and the late Jon Grove, whose memory she held close since his passing in 2014. She shared countless cherished memories with her siblings. Her best friend, Gail Rupert, was a constant source of support and companionship. Elsie’s cat, Kyla, who she would have insisted be mentioned, also held a special place in her heart.
Professionally, Elsie dedicated her career to helping others as a Certified Nurse’s Aide (CNA) and worked as a roofer, showcasing her versatility and strength. She found great joy in spending time with family, playing with her grandchildren, camping at Stone Valley, reading, kayaking, and playing Bingo.
A private family service was held to honor Elsie’s life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Arrangements are by Plank, Stitt & Stevens Funeral Home, 421 Montgomery St., Hollidaysburg.
