Obituary For Dorothy L. Stapelfeld

Dorothy L. Stapelfeld April 14, 1928 – Nov. 6, 2021

It is with great sadness that the family of Dorothy Lois (Morgan) Stapelfeld is announcing her passing on Nov. 6, 2021, after a short illness. She was 93 years young. Dorothy will be lovingly remembered and missed by her children: Karen Kinzle Zegel (husband Doug), Kerrie Victoria Kinzle, and Kelly Scott Kinzle (wife Paralee). She was cherished by and adored her four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Donn Eugene Kinzle; her beloved second husband, Bernard F Stapelfeld Jr.; and her grandson, Patrick M K Risha. Dorothy co-owned and operated Kinzle’s Antique Shop in Duncansville. She was a member and past president of the Hollidaysburg Women’s Club. She was a long-standing member of Hicks United Methodist Church. She loved doing the New York Times crossword puzzle, being with her swimming group at the YMCA and following her favorite sports. She enjoyed spending time with her daughter Kerrie at Finds Consignment store in Hollidaysburg and visiting family in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. Dorothy had a life rich with travel, family and friends. She was always ready with a smile and a helping hand. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dorothy’s name may be made to: Patrick Risha CTE Awareness Foundation, 3 Atkinson Dr., Doylestown PA 18901, or through the website: Stopcte.org. Arrangements are by Plank, Stitt and Stevens Funeral Home, 421 Montgomery St., Hollidaysburg. Condolences may be made at stevensfamilyfuneralhomes.com or the Stevens Family Funeral Homes Facebook page.

Prayers for all the family. I've known Dorothy all of my life. Many memories of her and Don coming to our house with their antiques to be worked on by my dad. Such a wonderful lady. I got to see her at the hairdressers nearly every week. Such a caring person for her family.
