David R. Campbell
Dec. 27, 1930 – Dec. 30, 2023

David R. Campbell, 93, Hollidaysburg, passed away Saturday afternoon at the Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg after a brief illness. He was born in Fayetown, son of the late David M. and Lucy Nellie (Brantner) Campbell.
On May 20, 1961, he married E. Katharine Hileman at Geeseytown Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife; two children, Nancy Carney of Hollidaysburg and Gary (Cindi) of York; two grandchildren, Clinton and Julie Carney; two step grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Samuel Wolfe, of York.
He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Wayne Carney; and a sister, Beverly Wolfe.
David was a 1948 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War.
David retired from Investment Savings Bank on Dec. 31, 1995, as the Executive Vice President of Lending, after 40 years of service.
He was a member of St. John’s Reformed Church, Hollidaysburg, and enjoyed walking.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Presbyterian Cemetery, Hollidaysburg.
Arrangements are by Plank, Stitt & Stevens Funeral Home, 421 Montgomery St., Hollidaysburg.

    David was truly the nicest man I ever met. He loved our dog Oliver and would pet him every time he passed Oliver. God Bless His Soul and his family. What a example they are for the world to see.
