Ann E. Taylor

March 31, 1939-July 31, 2025

Ann E. Taylor, 86, of Duncansville, passed away Thursday morning at Garvey Manor Nursing Home. She was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late Peter and Anna Schuster.

Ann was twice married; her first husband was James Stoehr who preceded her in death in 1978. She was blessed to then marry, Richard Taylor who also preceded her in death in 2010.

She is survived by her four loving children: Pete Stoehr and wife, Diane, Karon Dodson and husband, Michael, David Stoehr and wife Lorie, Kevin Taylor and wife Cindy; twelve grandchildren: Sabrina, Adam, Anna Marie, Josh, Michael, Daniel, Gabby, Joshua, Matthew, Jessica, Garrett, Jennifer; numerous great-grandchildren and special friend, Dene Schaut.

She was preceded in death by her siblings: Max & Charles Schuster & Honey McCloud.

Ann was an Altoona High School graduate and she retired in 1999 from the Home Nursing Agency after more than 10 years of service.

She was a member of St. Catherine’s of Siena in Duncansville.

Ann enjoyed being a Eucharistic Minister at St. Catherine’s and Garvey Manor. She loved volunteering for Mending Hearts, being a member of the Catholic Daughters and enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and traveling.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are provided by Plank, Stitt and Stevens Funeral Home, Hollidaysburg.
