Albert H. "Al" Bowmaster, 75, passed away unexpectedly on Friday.

He was born in Duncansville, son of the late Myrtle Helsel. On June 5, 1965, he married Marcy Stultz in Winchester, Va.

Surviving are his wife, Marcy; two children: Paul Bowmaster and his wife, Nikki, and Robin Shaw and her husband, Greg, all of Duncansville; a brother, Ralph C. Bowmaster Jr. of Duncansville; also surviving are six grandchildren: Jordan Bowmaster (Brianna), Paige Bowmaster, Taylor (Jake) Pooler, Branden Shaw, Olivia Bowmaster and Ben Bowmaster; and four great-grandchildren: Pierce and Camden Pooler, Leighton Bowmaster and Penelope Jacobs.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Bowmaster.

He was a 1962 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School and retired as a carpenter from Hoss's Building Services. He attended First United Methodist Church in Hollidaysburg.

Al was an avid hunter and a workaholic.

A memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Park Hills Country Club, 219 Highland Terrace, Altoona, PA 16602, Pastor Grace Marie Ransom, celebrant.

Family and friends are invited from 1-4 p.m. to gather and share special stories and memories with Al’s family.

Arrangements are by Plank, Stitt & Stevens Funeral Home, 421 Montgomery St., Hollidaysburg.

The family requests that donations be made in Al's memory to Central Pennsylvania Humane Society, 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, PA 16602.
